I haven’t talked about car accidents in a week or two so lets do it. In Florida, if you are hurt in a car crash your PIP is primary and will pay 80% of your medical bills up to $10,000.00 less your deductible BUT there’s a catch. You MUST receive treatment within 14 days of the accident and you MUST be assigned an EMC (Emergency Medical Condition). If you do not receive treatment within 14 days, no PIP.
